when to book?

Can you book inside the park hotels 12 months in advance? What are everyone%26#39;s favorites? Please note why and if they have a private bath.

Thanks!

when to book?

Yes, believe so, go to Xanterra website, below, to check on this. You might prefer the Western Cabins, a little less rustic, more motel type.

Again, check the website and review the room styles. Call the 800 number when making reservations, because the website will always be a little behind the facts.

Canyon, Lake, Old Faithful, in that order. We stay at Canyon and Lake. Location, central. Old Faithful area gets pretty crowded with people and buses (and cars). But, it is near major sights, but so are the others. Lake is quiet, a nice deck to relax with wine or beer and watch for wildlife and the lake.

Our interest is wildlife, yours will depend on what strikes you when there. Incredible park, we stay a week at a time whenever possible.

The official National Park website contains a lot of very good information. http://www.nps.gov/yell/

when to book?

Thanks so much. My son and I are nature types but my hubby is a city boy so I want to book the most modern not rustic for him. We went to the Grand Canyon last year and he was afraid he%26#39;d be in some rustic cabin but he was happy with Kachina. I think we%26#39;ll probably stay 4 nights and divide between OF and Canyon.

Old Faithful Snow Lodge is the best hotel in the park imho. We also liked Yellowstone Lake Hotel a lot. Paid extra for a lakeside room there and it was worth it for the views. Liked the dining rooms both places. Private baths at each. Snow Lodge is a couple of minutes walk from OF Inn, so you can enjoy the old place%26#39;s ambiance and dining room, too, if you wish.

What did you like about the Snow Lodge compared to Old Faithful Inn? Thanks.
