Cabins at Signal Mt. Lodge - can someone define ';rustic';?

If anyone has stayed in the ';rustic'; cabins at Signal Mt. could you tell me just how %26#39;rustic%26#39; they are? We don%26#39;t want luxury but we also don%26#39;t want the wind blowing through the chinks in the logs - we had that once and it wasn%26#39;t fun!

Hi Stormy,

We stayed at Signal Mountain Lodge cabins last summer. Rustic means log cabins, lodgepole furnishings, screen door on a small lodgepole deck. This is a very woodsy place, so you might expect a spider web on the outside porch. the bathroom was modern and clean, and the room itself was clean, no AC, no phone. When we were there , one night there was a power failure and the managers came around to the cabins with flashlights , one for each cabin.

I really liked SML. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Don%26#39;t let the word ';rustic'; scare you away. If you look under the Hotel reviews, you will find photos of the rooms, some I might have posted as well:

Have fun!

Thanks for the info, but after I posted this I checked with the facility and they%26#39;re completely booked for the end of July. Should have checked first - sorry! They actually sound wonderful.
