I%26#39;m going to have to purchase some for our September GTNP and Yellowstone trip (I%26#39;ll be playing golf as well), but there are soooo many brands.
Seems like Underarmour, Wickers, Medalist, Kenyon are some of the choices. Specifically, I%26#39;m looking for the top (long sleeve) to wear under my golf shirt.
Any consensus here?
What's your favorite cold weather brand of clothing?

Maybe I should also add that I%26#39;m playing golf in Jackson Hole and I%26#39;d like to just wear ONE piece of thermal wear under my golf shirt. So I%26#39;m looking for that ONE warm piece to wear as a long sleeve undershirt.
I%26#39;d wait until you arrive and inquire there. Then you%26#39;d know current weather and have recommendations to suit.
Seems you have done research, just buy what you like. Anything is better than nothing!
I have spent my entire life in the Rocky Mountains, from Montana to Wyoming to Colorado to New Mexico and I don%26#39;t really have a ';brand name'; shirt, I layer my clothes and buy what I can afford. If I get cold while playing golf, I usually have a polar fleece jacket to throw on.
Another lifelong outdoorsman here, and I completely agree with buying what I like, or can afford. For me, it%26#39;s not about any particular brand, and I refuse to buy into some of the advertizing hype. My outdoor wardrobe has always been a complete ';mix-and-match';... whatever works for the conditions at hand. With the advent of the new lightweight micro-fibers, Gortex, Thinsulate, Polarfleece, and materials like that, all the top brands offer about the same things.
I also think that waiting until you get to Jackson and see what the current weather is like is a good idea. You might need nothing more than a windbreaker over a light shirt, or it could be too cold / windy / snowy to tee off at all.... There are several stores in town where you can pick up whatever you might need before you play.
Thanks all.
Actually, waiting till I get there might be a good idea. I have warm clothes, I just don%26#39;t have warm GOLF CLOTHES. And seeing that I%26#39;ll be there a week before I play, I would certainly have the time to buy it there.
And I could actually try it on first! As it is now, there%26#39;s nothing available where I live and I%26#39;d have to buy it on line.
Thanks.
