Rafting in Snake River

Can anyone recommend their favorite raft company in Jackson? Also, do you have a recommendation for floating vs. whitewater rafting?

What time of year are you coming and do you have any kids. Chance are, if you are asking yourself ';should we do a whitewater trip or a float trip,'; then you probably are looking for a little bit of excitement and should do a whiewater trip.

I would recommend the whitewater trip or a scenic and whitewater combination trip over just doing a float trip. The whitewater section in Jackson is great. The rapids you go through are lot of fun and you can get really soaked, but there are some beautiful calm stretches in the canyon where you float for a bit to and have a chance to relax.

Dave Hansen Whitewater does a great job. I have family that has done their whitewater trips and their combo trips and they always have a great time.

We did a Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Badlands family trip last year with our two teenage girls and the whitewater trip (we actually did a scenic whitewater combo trip), we the best thing we did. We had a great time and our kids loved it. We went with Dave Hansen Whitewater and they were very professional and their guides were informative and entertaining. We are actually coming back to Jackson this year because we were not able to spend as much time in the area as we would have like last year and have another trip booked with them.

No kids. Two healthy adults in late 20%26#39;s. While I%26#39;d like some great pictures out of the trip, DH says we%26#39;re going for adventure! The combo trip sounds good, but we just want to spend 1/2 day doing this, as there are so many other things we want to do in the area! Does anyone recommend renting the wetsuit for the whitewater trips, or just wearing a bathing suit? We%26#39;ll be there in late June.

Coolhandluke162 - We did a trip with the same stops as you last year, and also like you, we are coming back to Jackson this year because we didn%26#39;t get to spend enough time there last year!
