We are planning a trip for September 2010 to Yellowstone. We will have 7 nights and six days in the park. This will be the first week of a 4 week trip out west so we are looking to stay in the least expensive lodging that has a private bath. We are driving from SLC and will be heading to Grand Teton after Yellowstone. My question is where should we stay in order to minimize the amount of driving time? We do not mind having to move from place to place. We were thinking of 2 days at Mammoth Hot Springs Cabins, 2 days at Canyon Cabin and 2 days at Old Faithful Lodge Cabins. Are these spaced out enough so that we can see most areas of the park and not have to drive say an hour and a half each way to get from our room to the popular sites?
