Horse riding in Cody

We are visiting Cody in August after having spent three days in Yellowstone. Could anyone reccomend a good place (stable/ ranch?) to go horse riding. Be aware I%26#39;ve never done it before and it scares the hell out of me so I%26#39;m looking for somehwre that can cope with beginners, but if I%26#39;m going to do it anywhere Cody is as good a place as any to do it. I would only be looking for a trek thats last say for two or three hours.

Horseback riding is great fun and most of the trail rides in the greater Yellowstone area are for tourists, many have never ridden. Tell the people running the rides that you are scared and inexperienced and they will make sure you have an appropriate horse.

Between YS park and Cody are a number of ranches that have trail rides.

Look at these...I have not ridden with any of them:

Hello, we are coming in August as well! Hopefully will be using Cedar Mountain Trail Rides in Cody as they take younger children (our youngest is 6 and a lot of places they have to be 8) and also have heard they are good with beginners/nervous riders! Enjoy your trip - we can%26#39;t wait!!
