Anyone care to make a guess what the approximate driving time would be, with no stops along the way? This would be a weekend, so we wouldn%26#39;t need to worry about the road construction that goes on during the week on that road.
I%26#39;m trying to decide if we should spend the night in Cody on arrival day,or push on into Yellowstone. I%26#39;m guessing (??) we%26#39;ll hit Cody around 4 pm. It seems like it would make the most sense just to keep going at that point, especially since we wouldn%26#39;t have time to really ';do'; the museum, and we aren%26#39;t interested in the rodeo. Thoughts?
Thanks!

Driving times from Cody to Lake Lodge cabins?
Hmmmmmmm now I%26#39;m really torn on what do to! I just checked Mapquest again; provided we make it to Wall,SD on our first night of driving, it looks like we%26#39;ll only have about 7 hours of driving our second day. Which means we could be in Cody by 2pm, given the time change and the fact we%26#39;re very early risers used to long drives. We could do the Buffalo Bill museum, or go into Yellowstone and add a night to Lake Lodge. Maybe do a short hike before dinner?
Good idea or should we just stay in Cody?

If you have interest in the museum, I%26#39;d suggest staying in Cody and leave the drive into the park for a morning while you are fresh and alert. You%26#39;ll enjoy the drive more and won%26#39;t have to worry about animals in the road being hidden by the setting sun.
