New road traffic system at Canyon?

Hi - there appears to be a new road system on north rim drive from Canyon - any advice on whether this is leading to delays and extra mileage when sightseeing. Thanks for input

The North Rim drive had been under reconstruction, but has reopened. Should not create delays.

There is a temporary road closure (May 19 -21st, 2009) due to a broken water main south of the Canyon area.

Has it reopened for two way traffic as the website seemed to indicate one way only - it may be misreading on my part though!!

Checked with the rangers. It is completely closed. No one way traffic. Through Thursday night (May 21st)
