Just booked our trip to the Grand Tetons. Got a great deal from Southwest to fly into SLC. Thought about Yosemite or Glacier this year but YNP and GT are our favorites. In 2007 we stayed at the Wyoming Inn but just checked the rates and they are over $300 per night. Please give me some suggestions for a nice affordable place to stay. We will be there July 12-15. Thanks!!

i%26#39;ve got 3 nights booked at the sundance inn starting on 7/22. i think the rate was around $150 plus tax. only a block from the square %26amp; includes continental breakfast %26amp; internet access. rooms are 1960%26#39;s small but remodeled %26amp; clean.
other places i%26#39;ve stayed at that i%26#39;d suggest as good buys are the ranch inn %26amp; 49%26#39;er inn which should have similar rates.
one other option you might consider is the kudar. we%26#39;re arriving on the 16th around 7:30 pm %26amp; are just looking for a place to stay for the evening prior to heading into the park for several days. the kudar was $85 %26amp; from all i%26#39;ve talked to is very clean, although also very no frills.
many have suggested the buckrail lodge which i started to try this time.

CeCe,
I will cast a vote for the Buckrail Lodge. We will be staying there for a 2nd time this July and are paying $146 a night (includes all taxes). Their website is buckraillodge.com. If you like what you see, give a call, as they only have 12 rooms. They don%26#39;t include breakfast, but it is immaculately clean and has great western decor. The log cabin feel is very relaxing. It%26#39;s about 5-6 blocks from the square--a little further out than some, but it%26#39;s very quiet.
Good luck!
Try booking through Jackson Hole Central Reservations. We got our room for HALF of what any other site was charging, including calling the main desk :)
