If you could only do one, which one would you do, and why?
(I%26#39;m trying to decide which we want to do as we exit the park)
Thanks!
Drive through Grand Teton NP OR Beartooth Highway?
Tetons - if you haven%26#39;t seen them, that%26#39;s the must do. There%26#39;s a reason it%26#39;s a national park.
Drive through Grand Teton NP OR Beartooth Highway?
That is tough! I went through the tetons when I was young. When we went out last time we did the Beartooth Highway. I am so glad we did.
I guess my thoughts would be if you can only drive through, I would prefer to do the Beartooth Highway. If you have extra time and can spend a night there, then I would do the Tetons.
This is only my opinion but I would rather do the Tetons if I have a couple of days to explore.
If all you have is the drive out, I would rather do the Beartooth Highway and save the Tetons for another trip.
Have fun!
Thanks for your replies!
After thinking about it last night, I%26#39;ve decided we%26#39;ll concentrate just on Yellowstone this trip...and drive through the Beartooth highway on our way out. We%26#39;re planning on coming back in about 7-8 years again, and we%26#39;ll spend a night or two at Grand Teton then. Plus, I have driven through them before, although Dh has not. Neither one of us has ever done Beartooth though.
Thanks again!
Kelly
You will not be sorry. On our next visit we are doing the Tetons as my husband hasn%26#39;t been there.
The Beartooth Mountains were very neat! We will definetly drive it on our way home next time as well!
Well, I%26#39;ve changed my mind yet again (typical;-).
Now I%26#39;m thinking about doing what we originally planned: take one day away from Yellowstone, and drive down to GTNP just for a day trip. Then still drive the Beartooth highway on the way out. It would be great to get to see both!
Kelly
