About two months ago, I booked a pioneer cabin at Canyon for Sept 3 and 4. I booked on the internet, paid the deposit, and printed off my confirmation sheet. Everything seemed fine; I was never contacted by Xanterra.
Today I was looking at the Xanterra website for the heck of it, and I happened to notice that it says Canyon pioneer and frontier cabins close August 30!! Yet when I typed in my dates in the reservations area, it still comes up that Canyon frontier and pioneer cabins have availability for those dates. So, should I assume that they indeed will be closed, and it%26#39;s a mistake on the website%26#39;s part that they%26#39;re still booking these cabins?
Help! Website says date I booked cabin will be closed!
According to the YNP site, those cabins are closing Aug. 30 this year for repairs: nps.gov/yell/…CP_JUMP_127510
I would call Xanterra to straighten this out. If you would rather have a cabin w/bath, see if they can get you one at Lake (either the Hotel or Lodge). It%26#39;s a nice area and still pretty central.
It%26#39;s a good thing you checked the website!
