I am not looking for 4-star restaurant but for restaurant with unique items such as buffalo or wild game on the menu.
What restaurants do you recommend in Jackson?
Buffalo is served at a number of restaurants. The Wort Hotel has a great buffalo burger.
The ambiance and food at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is really good.
The Granary, on the butte overlooking the Grand Tetons, not only has the million dollar view, but they feature an Elk Loin that is very tender, very very good. It%26#39;s built more into the side of the butte than just on top.
You will see rattlesnake on a number of menus, an appetizer, but they always seem to be out.
Steigler%26#39;s Restaurant %26amp; Bar is my favorite restaurant. Austrian cuisine. There is nothing on his menu that isn%26#39;t great.

The Gun Barrel in Jackson is highly recommended.....
http://www.gunbarrel.com/
I agree the Gunbarrel is great and so is Nora%26#39;s Fishcreek Grill.
Rendezvous Bistro is a local favorite. It is a nice sit down place, but not too expensive. Great atmosphere and really good mix of food.
Snake River Brew Pub...great local beer and good food. There is outside tables during the summer.
Calico out towards Teton Village...great place to eat if you have kids because there is a huge lawn with soccer balls, frisbees, etc., that kids can play with while waitng for food.
Mangy Moose is in Teton Village. Good food and nice way to end the afternoon if you are going to be heading up the tram or hiking around the ski mountain
all the ones mentioned are very good. our favorite is the sweetwater which is just off the square. not too expensive %26amp; they always have some unusual specials. eat outside in the courtyard if possible.
We had lunch at Sweetwater yesterday. I had elkburger so I imagine game is on the dinner menu! Very charming place; good food.
